Silverwood Miners Welfare Resource Centre represents a new era in the social, recreational and community life of Dalton and the surrounding areas. The welfare has had an extensive refurbishment and is able to support groups, individuals and businesses by providing a venue and facilities of the highest possible standards at very competetive prices. Silverwood also caters for the disabled with disabled facilities and parking.

The Hall (Silverwood Suite)

The large conference hall boasts superb conference facilities and can accommodate up to 230 delegates. Refreshments can be ordered at a small cost and catering phone numbers are available if you require buffets.

Additional equipment is available at no extra cost e.g. flip chart stands, screen, projector etc.

Our centre administrator is on hand at all times to ensure you have everything you need for the smooth running of your event.

The IT Suite

The IT Suite has 15 computers and has access to the internet and a wide variety of computer packages. Whether you are interested in just the basics or more advanced courses we have the computer packages for you! Just call our administrator for more information about courses.

The IT Suite is also available as a meeting room for smaller groups up to a maximum of 25 people.

Other Rooms

We also have 2 other rooms which, at the moment, are being leased as offices on a yearly basis by local businesses.
